We are running an informal game counting, hunting and pointing training weekend nr Aberystwyth in Mid Wales on Saturday April 28th and Sunday 29th April 2012 by kind permission of the Trawsgoed Estate and Forestry Commission Wales. This is a fantastic opportunity to access large areas of woodland that is being extensively felled and thinned. All game will be wild and consists of Woodcock, hare, Pheasant, Snipe and possibly a few Black Grouse. 

Dogs must be under control at all times and should be steady to game. It is intended for handlers of a Novice level and above. Novice handlers will be paired with more experienced handlers and helpful advice will be given as appropriate. This is a fantastic opportunity for dogs and handlers alike to run on this ground and gain experience of different terrain and game. 

Entry Form

As from January 2012 the Kennel Club will no longer register more than four litters from a single bitch.  The Kennel Club may grant permission to register more if there is a good and justifiable reason however, this will be decided on a case by case basis.Full details can be viewed here www.the-kennel-club.org.uk/item/3426
