Training day Kelford Gundogs Ruthin, Wales 25 March 2007
The day started bright and early, with everyone meeting and having coffee and brioche. We had six HWV and a range of other HPR's. Kelly started the day with introductions and explaining what was planned for the day. Trainers were Kelly, Lyndon and Glen. We were assessed in a group setting and after being put through our paces where individually assessed. A very welcome three course lunch came in the middle of the day and was a good opportunity for reflection on the morning session. After lunch Glen and Lyndon set up caged Pheasant and the more experienced dogs had a Pointing opportunity. The less experienced dogs and puppies were also given the same opportunity. At the end of a very enjoyable day Mathew Alan who handled Ayita Miss Sixty (Jess) was presented with an award and a bottle for Most Improved Dog and Handler. All present received attendance certificates I would like to thank Kelly, glen, Lyndon and not forgetting Dave, Kelly’s husband who cooked all the food and looked after us all, I would also like to thank all of you who attended and hope you enjoyed it as much as I and my wife Wendy did. It was certainly an enjoyable day providing many learning experiences. Mark Lovell HWVA Working Secretary
