The HWVA held its AGM and Open Show on 22 April at Cottesmore.
Adrian Briers, Richard May and Mark Lovell and Rachel Thompson (Secretary) were elected to committee.
The membership heard reports from The Chair, Secretary , Treasurer, Working Sec, Membership Sec and Health and Welfare Sub Committee.
The review of the rules completed, the membership voted in all the proposed rule changes unanimously.
The HWVA Annual Awards were presented and full details of winners are on the association site.
The show in the after noon was held in perfect weather. With 59 entries for the show and 14 for Special Awards, judges Sheila Gray and Lori Dempster had an enjoyable day.
Sheila Gray chose Leiborschy Remek owned by Gemma Hill as Best in Show, Rachel Thompson and Alex Friars Moricroft Methuen as Reserve Best in Show, Diane and Jonathan Parrys Leiborschy Yendah, Best Opposite Sex and Mark and Wendy Lovells Ayita Prada for Best Puppy in Show.
The show had a very friendly relaxed atmosphere which was perfect for exhibitors and spectators. Food was served througout the day and the day rounded off with a presentation of the trophies.
