On Sunday, 1^st November the HWVA supported 8 classes of Wires at Bridgwater and DCS Open Show. An entry of 21 with 7 absentees awaited our judge, Frank Whyte. He chose Sam Sutcliffe’s Amiryck Atlas of Farlap as his Best Dog whilst Bye’s Moricroft Morse was Res. BD. David and Diana Halls Vadkasca Speyburn of Aranyhaz was Best Puppy Dog. Best Bitch and BOB was my and Chris Schofield’s Cwsscwn Chintz with Doreen Smillie and Jo Cairns Farnfield Pussy Galore of Galicar taking Res BB. Best Puppy Bitch and BPIB was Lesley Trow’s Cwsscwn Clazique at Winterwell. Chintz was shortlisted to last 6 in the Gundog Group and Clazique went Puppy Group 2 under Jill Peak. It was good to see our Chairman, Richard May, making his debut in the show ring and winning his class. There must be no end to his talents.
