We are passionate about ensuring that this wonderful breed have a healthy future and we are undertaking several initiatives to ensure that this is the case.
DNA Bank
The most recent of these is the creation of a DNA Bank for the Wirehaired Vizsla. This will serve as a museum of genetic material that can be called upon in the future should there be a need to do genetic research into medical conditions. Confidential Health Survey
The HWVA launched a comprehensive, confidential Health Survey of the Wirehaired Vizsla in association with the Animal Health Trust and the Kennel Club in 2009, which closed at the end of February 2010. The results will be available to our members. We hope to have the report available in the second half of 2010.
